Welcome to the website of Barbaresco - Tourism

The village
Barbaresco is a commune in the Langhe region with about 650 inhabitants situated at 274 meters a.s.l. It is located in a hilly region called Langhe, which has become world-famous for its prestigious wines and delicious typical products, such as the white truffle of Alba.
The village is located in Piedmont, in the province of Cuneo, and it belongs to the municipal association “Sei in Langa”, which also includes the communes of Treiso, Neive, Neviglie, Mango, Camo and Castiglione Tinella. Barbaresco is 8 km from Alba and can be reached by a scenic route of Roman origin called “via dei Bricchi” or through the Tanaro valley. Visitors who come to Barbaresco can admire its architectonic attractions (such as the medieval tower, which is also the symbol of the village) as well as countless vineyards which are cultivated in the area all around Barbaresco.
The local economy is mainly based on agriculture and tourism. At present, the area is fairly wealthy thanks to the production of the wine Barbaresco, which is produced from Nebbiolo grapes and aged for three years. Barbaresco has become famous all over the world, and it acts as a sort of engine for the local economic system. Tourism has developed especially thanks to this prestigious wine: visitors from all over the world come here to taste the local wines and specialties in their place of origin. The region has many restaurants, some of which have also been assigned one or more Michelin stars.
